Flåm Railway
The Flåm Railway is a breathtaking train journey from Flåm to Myrdal.
The most popular tourist attraction in the area is the Flåm Railway, which is said to be the most beautiful train journey in the world. It is known for its steep and curvy railway track with beautiful scenery on both sides.
The train ride starts at Flåm station and runs 20 km up to Myrdal station. Usually, the train makes a stop at Kjosfossen waterfall and, if you are lucky enough, you may see the local “Hulder” (mythical Norwegian creature) dance in the waterfall.
The train ride takes one hour one way, and you may book a roundtrip so that it takes you back. It is also possible to walk from Myrdal to Flåm or to rent a bike to take you back to Flåm. As demand is high, we recommend booking tickets in advance. See this website for tickets.
